Made from aluminum and stainless steel, the BHP portable wind-on jig is designed for years of good service. The tool is superior due to its design. Most wind-on jigs are fabricated from a woodworking clamp or similar flat clamping device. This type of clamp doesn’t hold the spectra, fluorocarbon, or monofilament tight enough to use a centrifugal bobbin which is essential to making a correct pressure serve. The serve and how much pressure is applied to the connection is the key to building a correctly made wind on or topshot.
